The Bachata song comes on, everyone couples up, and if you don't know the steps you're stuck doing the polite side-to-side shuffle and pretending it counts. It doesn't have to be that way. Bachata is one of the friendliest Latin dances to learn — a four-count basic with a relaxed hip motion, and most people are moving comfortably by the end of the first night. Two Tuesdays is plenty of time to feel it click. We teach it from zero at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville, August 18 and 25 at 7:00 PM. No experience needed, and no partner required, because we rotate the whole room. Coming solo is completely normal here. $24 for both classes.
