NOT EVERY LATIN DANCE IS FAST Beginner Rumba Class Wednesday, Sept 16 | 7:00 PM | 50 min | $12/person Here's why a lot of people never try Latin dance: they picture Salsa at full speed, look down at their own feet, and quietly decide the whole category isn't for them. Rumba is the answer to that. It isn't about speed at all. It's about the walk, the weight change, and the way the hips follow the feet once you stop trying to force them. The basic is small and it repeats, so you spend the class actually getting it instead of chasing it. There's a practical reason to start here too. Rumba shares its bones with several other Latin dances, so learning it first makes Cha Cha and everything after it easier. One class, fifty minutes, Wednesday September 16 at 7:00 PM at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville. Beginners only, no experience assumed.
