THE HAPPIEST DANCE IN THE BUILDING Beginner Swing Class Wednesday, Sept 30 | 7:00 PM | 50 min | $12/person Some dances are elegant. Some are romantic. Swing is just relentlessly cheerful, and it's very hard to stay grumpy while you're doing it. The bounce tends to win. It's also one of the most useful dances you can own. Swing fits oldies, rock and roll, blues, country, big band, and a lot of modern pop that nobody thinks of as swing music until they try it. Learn it once and you'll start hearing songs you can dance to everywhere, which is a slightly annoying side effect nobody warns you about. The basic is a rock step and two triple steps. Six counts, then it repeats. That's the whole door in, and fifty minutes is plenty of time to get through it. One class, Wednesday September 30 at 7:00 PM at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville. Beginners welcome.
